Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 14, 2026

In short: Yesterlens has no accounts and no ads, and we don’t run servers for it. The photos you choose and take, and the places of those photos, stay on your phone. With your permission in Settings (on by default), the app sends us anonymous usage statistics and crash reports through Google Firebase: never your photos, places or anything that identifies you.

Who we are

Yesterlens (“the app”) is made by Digadigit (“we”, “us”). If you have any questions about this policy, write to us at support@digadigit.com.

Data we collect

Only the anonymous statistics and crash reports described below, which you can turn off. The app never sends us, or anyone on our behalf, your photos, the places of your photos, your location, your name or contacts. It contains no advertising.

Data stored on your device

To work, the app keeps the following in its own storage on your phone:

the old photos you choose, how you cropped them, and the new photos you take;
where those photos were taken, when known (from the old photo’s location data, a pin you place on the map, or your location when you took the new photo);
your settings (shutter mode, match precision, hints, whether to record the place in new photos).

This data never leaves your device unless you share or save a photo yourself. Deleting a pair in the app removes its files; uninstalling the app removes everything.

Camera, photos and motion sensors

The camera is used to show the view with the old photo laid over it and to take the new photo. Camera frames are compared with the old photo on your phone, to tell you which way to aim and to take the photo when the views line up; they are not stored or sent anywhere. The app opens your photo library only through the system picker, to let you choose an old photo, and adds photos to it only when you tap Save. Motion sensors tell how the phone is held, when it is still, and (with the magnetic sensor) which way the camera faces. The app never records sound.

Location

If you allow it, the app uses your location while it is open: to show how far the place of the old photo is, to say which way to face, and to record where you took the new photo. With Settings → Place in the new photo on (the default), the new photo file contains where and in which direction it was taken, like photos from the iPhone Camera; anyone you send that file to can see it. Turn the setting off to leave it out. The app does not use your location in the background.

Statistics and crash reports (Google Firebase)

To fix bugs and see which features are useful, the app uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. They send:

app events: that an old photo was chosen (portrait or landscape, whether it had a place), how the crop was left, how a new photo was taken (by the button, the timer or on its own, whether the views were lined up, the overlay mode, zoom, how long it took), which buttons on the result and collage screens were used, that a place was pinned or a route opened (only the rounded distance, never coordinates), and settings you change;
crash reports: what the app was doing when it crashed, device model, operating system and app version;
a random app-installation identifier generated by Firebase, approximate location derived from your IP address, and standard usage data such as sessions and when the app was first opened.

This data is not linked to your name or account (there is none), does not include your advertising identifier, and is not used for advertising or tracking. Google processes it for us under its Firebase privacy terms and keeps it for a limited period (up to 14 months). You can turn it off at any time: Settings → Anonymous statistics in the app.

Maps

Maps in the app are Apple Maps. To draw them, your phone requests map tiles for the area on screen from Apple, under Apple’s privacy policy. “Directions” opens the Maps app with the place of the old photo.

Sharing

When you share a photo or a collage, the app hands it to the system share sheet; what happens next depends on the app you choose.

Children

The app collects no personal data from anyone, children included.

Changes to this policy

If the app starts handling data differently (for example, if we add a feature that needs a server), we will update this page and the effective date before that version is released.

Какие данные мы собираем

Только анонимную статистику и отчёты о сбоях, описанные ниже, — их можно выключить. Приложение никогда не отправляет ни нам, ни кому-либо от нашего имени ваши фото, места снимков, геолокацию, имя или контакты. Рекламы в нём нет.

Данные на вашем устройстве

Для работы приложение хранит в своём разделе на телефоне:

выбранные старые фото, их обрезку и сделанные новые снимки;
места, где сделаны снимки, если они известны (из данных старого фото, метки на карте или вашей геолокации в момент съёмки);
настройки (режим съёмки, точность совпадения, подсказки, запись места в новый снимок).

Эти данные не покидают устройство, пока вы сами не сохраните или не отправите снимок. Удаление пары в приложении удаляет её файлы, удаление приложения — всё.

Камера, фото и датчики движения

Камера показывает вид со старым фото поверх и делает новый снимок. Кадры камеры сравниваются со старым фото на телефоне — чтобы подсказать, куда навести, и снять, когда вид совпадёт; они нигде не сохраняются и никуда не отправляются. Галерею приложение открывает только через системный выбор фото и добавляет в неё снимки, только когда вы нажимаете «Сохранить». Датчики движения показывают, как держат телефон, неподвижен ли он и (с магнитным датчиком) куда смотрит камера. Звук приложение никогда не записывает.

Геолокация

Если вы разрешите, приложение использует геолокацию, пока открыто: чтобы показать, далеко ли место старого фото, подсказать, куда повернуться, и записать, где сделан новый снимок. Когда включено Настройки → Место в новом снимке (по умолчанию), файл нового снимка содержит, где и в каком направлении он сделан, как снимки системной камеры iPhone; это увидит любой, кому вы отправите файл. Выключите настройку, чтобы не записывать. В фоне геолокация не используется.

Статистика и отчёты о сбоях (Google Firebase)

Чтобы исправлять ошибки и понимать, какие функции полезны, приложение использует Google Firebase Analytics и Firebase Crashlytics. Они передают:

события приложения: что выбрано старое фото (вертикальное или горизонтальное, было ли в нём место), как закрыт экран обрезки, как сделан новый снимок (кнопкой, по таймеру или сам, совпал ли вид, режим наложения, зум, сколько времени ушло), какие кнопки нажаты на экранах результата и коллажа, что отмечено место или открыт маршрут (только округлённое расстояние, никогда не координаты), изменённые настройки;
отчёты о сбоях: что делало приложение в момент сбоя, модель устройства, версию системы и приложения;
случайный идентификатор установки, который создаёт Firebase, примерное местоположение по IP-адресу и стандартные сведения об использовании, например сессии и дату первого запуска.

Эти данные не связаны с вашим именем или аккаунтом (его нет), не содержат рекламного идентификатора и не используются для рекламы и отслеживания. Google обрабатывает их для нас по правилам конфиденциальности Firebase и хранит ограниченное время (до 14 месяцев). Отключить можно в любой момент: Настройки → Анонимная статистика в приложении.

Карты

Карты в приложении — Apple Maps. Чтобы нарисовать карту, телефон запрашивает у Apple изображения той области, что на экране, по политике конфиденциальности Apple. «Маршрут» открывает приложение «Карты» с местом старого фото.

Отправка снимков

Когда вы делитесь снимком или коллажем, приложение передаёт его системному меню «Поделиться»; что дальше — зависит от выбранного вами приложения.

Дети

Приложение не собирает персональные данные ни у кого, в том числе у детей.

Изменения политики

Если приложение начнёт обращаться с данными иначе (например, появится функция с сервером), мы обновим эту страницу и дату до выхода такой версии.
